The Nasopharyngeal Airway (NPA) is the ideal basic airway adjunct for a tactical environment. 
The NPA is not easily dislodged during casualty movement or pushed out of position by the casualty’s tongue. It can also be inserted into conscious casualties without gag reflex stimulation.
